ABOUT DEB....

As a child .... I was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1960

When I was four years old my family moved to a small hamlet called Crossfield, just north of Calgary.  A short year later we moved further out of town to a farm, and so I grew up with an entire host of animals including chickens, sheep, cattle, horses, dogs, cats and rabbits. 

At an early age I was often heard telling anyone who would listen what the animals were thinking or saying.
I was known in the neighborhood as that extremely quiet and shy girl – who attracted animals. 

One summer coming while home from town I spotted a young hawk that had left the nest, flown too far and was too tired to move from the centre of the gravel road.  I talked my mom into stopping, I quietly wrapped the young hawk up in my blue jean jacket and brought it home.  After a couple of weeks of hamburger, sausage and hand-dug worms, the rejuvenated hawk was ready to be returned to the wild where it belonged.  For years after that a pair of hawks shared my private sanctuary, a small hilly corner of the farm that had been left in its natural state.

BECOMING A TEEN ....

When I reached my teenage years, mom informed me that it was time to leave behind the childishness of claiming I ‘talked’ with the animals.  Already being ridiculed at school for my awkward, shy ways, I obeyed and began to shut the door between me and my animal friends. 

At first I continued to ‘talk’ to my horse and cats in secret, but little by little the process of growing up and life’s problems took me down a pathway that left ‘talking’ with the animals far behind.

 

AS A GRANDMA ....

It was almost thirty years before that precious door would open once again.  One day my grown daughter casually mentioned that she’d seen a lady on TV (Sonya Fitzpatrick) who ‘talked’ with animals telepathically.  Hearing that one sentence was like having a light go on after years of being in the dark.  What an astonishing word ‘telepathically’ … now my childhood ability made such wonderful sense.

Like someone who had been starved a long time, I started searching the internet and discovered a whole new world.  I ordered books and devoured what these Animal Communicators had to share.  I discovered that they not only ‘talk’ with animals, but also teach, encourage and advise that everyone has the ability to talk with their animals.  With one sentence my daughter gave me back a precious part of my life.

Reading books and practicing on my own wasn’t enough; I desired a teacher.  However, living in a remote part of Alberta made traveling to the States or almost anywhere in Eastern Canada a costly proposition.  Then one day while surfing the internet I found the website of Georgina Cyr, a British Columbia resident who offers an Animal Communication Course by correspondence. 

It seemed almost too good to be true.  I enrolled in Georgina’s Introductory Course and after completion jumped right into her Spirits of Heart Professional Animal Communicator mentoring program.  Each time Georgina’s comments came back after a lesson was completed I was encouraged.  And somewhere between all the lessons and emails a friendship also developed between us.

AND IN THE FUTURE....

I realized that Animal Communication was going to play a much more significant role in my life than just reopening the door to communicating with the animals.  It has also brought me full circle to being able to communicate with like minded people – animal lovers.  So now my desire is to share, nurture and assist animals and their human companions to bridge the communication gap, and I’m back to telling anyone who wants to listen just what the animals have to say!
